initiate copy to spare for XP24000
Hello,
is there a way to force a failed disk to be reconstructed from the rest of the drives in the RAID group to the spare drive?
We have only one 600GB spare.
A failed disk was copied to the spare.
In the mean time another disk failed.
The first disk was replaced and the spare freed.
However yet another disk from the same RAID group as the still failed disk reported errors and a copy to spare was initiated but it failed ( i suppose because of the failed drive in the same RAID group).
Now if i try to change the failed drive the XP sais there is a copying process at the other HDD in the same parity group. And the replacement is successfull but in 5 minutes the correction copy fails.
So i am hoping there is a way to make the failed disk be copied(correction copyed) to the spare.
Thank you.
