Re: error at P6500 Power converter

Hi shafey17,

If you are experiencing the "power converter failed" error, there could be several possible reasons for this issue.

Here are a few potential causes to consider:

1. The power converter error could be indicating a problem with the power converter board itself.
Even after replacing the power supply, if the power converter board is defective or damaged, it may continue to generate an error.
In such cases, you may need to replace the power converter board.

2. Double-check the installation of the power supply and ensure that all connections are properly made.
Any loose connections or improperly seated components can cause power-related errors.
Make sure that the power supply is firmly inserted and connected to the appropriate connectors on the array.

3. The error could be due to a problem with the power distribution within your data center or rack.
Ensure that the power source feeding the HPE EVA P6500 array is stable and provides the correct voltage and frequency.
If the power distribution is inconsistent or experiencing fluctuations, it can trigger power-related errors.

4. Check if there are any available firmware or software updates for your HPE EVA P6500 array.
Outdated firmware or software can sometimes cause compatibility issues or bugs that result in power-related errors. Consider updating the array's firmware.

5. While the power supply and power converter are common causes of power-related errors, there might be other hardware components contributing to the problem.
It is possible that another component, such as a system board or controller, is malfunctioning and affecting the power converter's functionality.

If the problem persists after following the above troubleshooting steps, it is recommended to reach out to HPE tech support for further assistance.
