Can I know why this issue occurs in most of the storage devices?

What kind of storage?  Floppies?  Mag tape?  Cartridge tapes?  Flash drives?

For mag tapes you don't have the write ring in it.  :-)

For others, you have flipped a switch saying you want to protect the data.
